In 5th line on July 6, 2010 at 6:41 am

“After we hang up, I lie in bed watching the broad tree branches swing in the wind outside and think about Jane stacking coasters, Dorothy and her blanket and Lou-Lou with the cold cuts and find myself wishing, as I roll over to sleep, that like the woman with the wild hair, I could sweep in there and pull my own beer from the giant red cooler.”~~Little Chapel on the River: A Pub, A Town and the Search For What Matters Most by Gwendolyn (Wendy) Bounds

After the 9/11 attack, WSJ writer Wendy Bounds was without a home or place to work. She ended up in Garrison, New York, at Guinan’s, an Irish pub, and embraces the family-like atmosphere.
