Late ’30s yuppies divorce. He gets the vaca home and the expensive car. She gets the kids and a broken heart. She flies to Hawaii for the big 4 – 0 bday, meets a surfer dude and well, you get the rest of the chick lit story. It’s a fun romp while at the beach…and that includes reading it!

Novello, best known as Father Guidi Sarducci, corresponds with Presidents, Senators, and well, just about anyone who will listen. Comic genius? Perhaps!

A coming-of-age story with a young, sassy Ellen. Such a good read! Should be required!

Ingrid and Astrid ~ mother and daughter ~ both beautiful, and perhaps a bit poisonous. Mom commits murder and daughter ventures through the foster care system. Hauntingly real.

Haven’t read it yet (I know, I’m behind), but it’s on my list! My youngest daughter thoroughly enjoyed it…and she’s a very picky reader!

Watching the movie now. Book is in the “to read” pile. It’s stirring a lot of controversy on several writing lists I belong to, but it’s getting people reading and talking about literature. I like that!
